After Constantine Hansen, a Dutch painter. Ida was the daughter of the art historian, Just Mathias Thiele. Ida, here, is drawing on a gameboard with a piece of chalk. Later this same child became the subject of a story by Hans Christian Anderson, "The Flower s of Little Ida". 2015, Available. Contact the artist.

Lately, I have been using the Library Company of Philadelphia for sourcing portraits of people as it is a consistent challenge to find proper images. They have excellent archives, online but often they don't know the names associated with the images. Such is the case here. I call her Anna Marie. Completed, 2014. Traded to Marga Grima.
